Testability

Testability is often associated with the instrumentation of hardware to make it easier to test. For example moving test points on large pieces of machinery close together decreases the test time as the service tech does not have to move around the equipment so much. On Computer equipment it means adding test points that make hardware problem diagnosis possible with a minimum of external connectors. Sometimes it means adding hardware and software to a system to improve the diagnostic and prognostic capabilities.
