Allocation
This section introduces the notion of allocation or the mapping of logical to physical.
At some point in the design of the logical model a decision is made to begin assigning the functions of the logical subsystems to the actual physical systems to be designed.
This is commonly referred to as allocation.
An allocation table us used to show the correspondence between logical and physical components.
When allocation is complete then the
SMEs can begin their design work.
