Development Contract
Agreement about how a system is to be developed.
Of course contracts vary all over the board.
But a few things can be said in general about development contracts.
A development contract often has an umbrella that covers an agreement about how companies will conduct business together that spans multiple programs, products and projects.
Individual contracts have attached Statements of Work, Requirements Specifications and Acceptance Tests that determine the system being developed.
Contracts specify means to remedy non-compliance with the specifications and tests.
